The root domain didn't work.

At all.

Anyone typing his business name straight into a browser was hitting a dead end. No page. No error he'd ever see. Just.. nothing.

The cause was one I've seen a hundred times. The WWW version was set up fine, but the bare domain had no redirect pointing anywhere. So half his potential visitors were landing on a site that didn't exist.

He had no idea.

Why would he? He built the funnel, published it, tested the link he had. Everything looked done.

The scan flagged it within a minute of connecting. Then it surfaced a couple other things he'd been carrying without knowing.

You'd be surprised how many times I see this happen.

He's smart. He's capable. He did everything the way he was taught to do it.

And he was still running his business on infrastructure nobody had ever verified.

That's the pattern. I keep finding it everywhere.. even on sites owned by names you'd recognize.

Sites that aren't indexed..

Domains that half-resolve..

Hitting publish only proves the pages went live..

Whether a real person can actually get through them is a whole different question.

Somebody has to keep checking after launch day.. and for most business owners, nobody is.
