I heard a quote today from Tom Mueller.. one of the OGs from early SpaceX.. talking about Elon’s philosophy.

He said if someone was negative..
they weren’t in the next meeting.

Because in Elon’s mind,
a company is just a bunch of vectors.
Each person pointing in a direction.
If someone’s pointing sideways.. negativity, politics, low morale..
they’re pulling the whole thing off course.

And here’s the part that got me:

If you’re a solopreneur,
you’re the only vector.

When you have a stretch of crappy days..
when your mood dips..
when you feel scattered or discouraged..
there isn’t a team to balance you out.

Your inner “company culture” is just you..
and if you let negativity sit in the meeting room,
your whole business slows down.

You have to become the one who kicks negativity out of the next meeting.
You have to align your own energy, your own focus, your own momentum.

It doesn’t mean you never feel down.
It means you don’t let that state steer the ship.

Point yourself in the direction you want to go.. on purpose.

The beautiful thing is.. once you realize it’s all on you..
You stop waiting for someone to fix it.
You stop looking for a rescue.
You stop making it heavier than it is.

Your inner culture becomes cleaner.
Your direction becomes sharper.
And your confidence stops depending on how the day feels.

If you’re the only vector..
Then getting pointed forward is the whole job.

And the moment you choose that on a consistent basis,
everything in your business starts compounding again.
