She just asked if we could play a game together.

In the past would say,
“Maybe later.”
And I’d be too “in it.”

Slack. Looms. Funnel fires.
Always something urgent.

But not anymore.

For a while now,
She’s come first.

She’s taller than she was last month.
More confident. More curious.
Closer to becoming whoever she’s becoming.

And the truth is...
I didn’t build this thing to be busy.
I built it to buy back time.
For this.

I don’t miss the moments.
I don’t break the promises.

Because her trajectory is my legacy.
Her confidence. Her self-worth.
Her memory of what a father is.

That’s the real legacy I’m building.

So if you’re grinding like it’s the only way forward…
Let me offer a different strategy:

Start keeping promises at home.
Everything else will follow.
