A few weeks ago, we launched MRR Magic—a free tool that helps entrepreneurs create a membership revenue plan in seconds.

This wasn’t some expensive SaaS build.

No hiring developers. No complicated tech stack.

I built it inside ChatGPT because, well… I can.

But even if you’re not a developer, you can still do this.

Here’s how.

1. Pick a Simple Idea That Solves a Problem

You don’t need a massive software product.

You need a simple tool that delivers a quick win.

For us, that was helping people map out their membership revenue model in seconds instead of hours or days of spreadsheet work.

Think about your audience:

What’s one small but valuable thing they struggle with?

How can you automate that into a tool?

2. Build It the Fastest Way Possible

I coded MRR Magic directly in ChatGPT because I have dev experience.

But most people don’t need to do that.

If you want to DIY:

Bubble.io – No-code web apps
Softr.io – No-code front-end builder
Typeform + Airtable – Dynamic tools with automation

The key is speed to launch.

3. Integrate It With Your Funnel

We didn’t just make a free tool and hope for the best.

We gave value first then asked them to opt-in for the lead magnet using a Reverse Lead Squeeze Funnel:

Give value first → Let them use the tool.

Then ask for the opt-in → If they want to save or refine their results, they enter their name + email.

This frictionless approach helped us convert 26% of cold traffic into high quality leads.

4. Drive Targeted Traffic

Once the tool was live, we focused on driving the right traffic:

Social posts – Educating and teasing the tool.

Cold ads – Direct to the free tool (no hard opt-in upfront).

T-Shirts – I made custom shirts for me and Alma that we wore at FHL.

And because people actually used it, engagement was higher, which meant lower ad costs and better conversion rates.
