It’s easy to think creation is reserved for the clean moments:
The launch.
The win.
The new funnel.
The fresh idea.
But we’re always creating.
Even in the messy.
I missed a message from someone I care about.
Someone who likely wanted to connect before launching something big.
But I didn’t follow up.
I let it slip.
And when I saw the message... my stomach dropped.
My default pattern is to lean into regret..
Self-judgment.
To let it twist me up.
So when Alma asked me something simple, I snapped.
I projected my own shame.
Cut her with my words.
Again.
But here’s what happened next.
I stopped.
I saw it.
I owned it.
I apologized.. not to justify.
But to rebuild.
We talked.
I told her what was under the surface.
And for the first time in a long time… I felt like I created something real in that moment.
A bridge.
A bond.
Trust... earned in the aftermath, not eroded by the trigger.
You’re going to mess things up.
You’re going to miss.
You’re going to speak from judgment instead of presence sometimes.
But the question is...
Will you create connection after the conflict?
Will you create trust through your ownership?
That’s the kind of creation that matters most.
