

Membership Expert Stu McClaren tells us that membership sites needs to guide the customer to success through your content, instead of having them carve out a path on their own.
Organizing content into several groups of stages and action steps is step one but if you stop there, you're missing a crucial point.
Each stage needs to have a tangible milestone at the end.
It needs to be undeniably clear whether they've achieved it or not.
Omit this and your success path will not propel your customers forward.
Because a tangible milestone triggers a sense of reward and lets us know that we're making progress.
And as long as we feel like we're making progress, we'll stick around month to month!
Without that sense of progress... we want to check out and leave!
