One of my favorite Myron Golden quotes goes like this:

“People don’t see us with their eyes.
They see us with our eyes.”

We project how we see ourselves.
And the world responds to the signal we send.

When you’re beating yourself up..
Second-guessing..
Tight, anxious, absent, hurried..

People feel that.

You come off busy.
Bothered.
Unwelcoming.
Aloof.
Like you’re barely holding it together.

And maybe that’s true.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

You want to change how people treat you?

Change how you see you.

Relax.
Smile.
Ask good questions.
Even open-ended ones. (I see you, introverts.)

The shift doesn’t start with them.
It starts with you.
