Here’s a quiet ClickFunnels gotcha that catches a lot of people.
In every ClickFunnels workspace, you get a Site or Funnel Hub.
Think of it like a WordPress site with a blog built in.
It’s great to have.
But not everyone is ready for it right away.
So most people just start building funnels.
Here’s the problem.
If your site is live…
you haven’t touched it…
and your default domain is the same one you’re using for funnels…
When someone gets curious and types in your domain directly,
they’re greeted with a wall of lorem ipsum.
Gross.
Instant trust loss.
And it happens more than people realize.
You could rush to build a homepage.
But not everyone is ready for that.
For those people, here’s a quick fix.
It’s old school.
Most people won’t even recognize it.
Simple.
Elegant.
Reliable.
A meta refresh client-side redirect.
All it does is redirect the visitor to a funnel of your choice.
Here’s how to do it.
Go to your Site and edit the Home page.
Delete every single section.
Desktop and mobile.
Then go to the menu item that looks like two gears and click on Show Code then select the Header Code tab.
Paste this in:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL='https://www.mydomain.com/my-funnel-path'" />
And change the domain and path to point to your funnel of choice.
That’s it.
The page is essentially empty.
The redirect fires in the head.
The delay is zero seconds.
So anyone who hits your root domain
gets sent exactly where you want them to go.
When you’re ready to build a real site,
just remove the header code and build it properly.
No rush.
No broken first impressions.
Simple.
Fast.
Reliable.
