I was on a group call today.

Not a big one. Just a handful of people hanging out, talking shop.

One of the guys is a guitar instructor. Brick-and-mortar school, does really well. He's got a killer piece of software for his students.. a practice tracker, full of graphs and everything. One of his students actually built it in Excel. He moved it to Google Sheets to scale it a bit, but it was still too nerdy for most people.

He wanted to get it in front of more people. Just didn't know how.

So I said.. dude. Let's just see what Codex does with it.

He downloaded Codex. We grabbed the xlsx. The file had a problem in it.

Codex fixed the problem without being told what it was.

A few minutes later he had a full web app. Not a spreadsheet. An actual experience.. completely different from poking around in cells.

But here's the part that stays with me.

Before any of that happened, there was this moment.

He said: "So I can do that?"

That's the hinge.

That tiny little opening. The possibility starting to crack through. And in the presence of someone who's been there, who can say "yeah, just try it".. that crack gets a little wider.

Most of the people sitting on ideas like his aren't waiting for better tools.

They're waiting for someone to tell them it's okay to try.
