The safety of a job is an illusion, albeit a persistent one
I've been laid off a couple of times
Each time was met with shock and fear... and a bit of sadness and anger too
The gift in it though was I was always mobilized to take immediate action towards a purposeful result
Whether I needed to learn a programming language in a weekend or DM every recruiter I'd collected on LinkedIn from the previous 12 months I was ON IT!
After jumping into entrepreneurship it was that times 10!
But as I have stumbled along the way there are little "oh crap" moments throughout that required me to shift total focus, just like before
So I now look back at getting laid off with a fondness, as the first sign that I could get a lot done in a little bit of time and level up quickly!
Have you ever gotten laid off? What was it like for you?
