


When someone doesn't take us up on our offer, it can hurt.
We can have an emotional response that spirals down quickly, feeling embarrassed, rejected and maybe starting to question if we're doing the right thing in the first place.
My recent conversation with top tier sales closer Anas Ramadan brought to light a really valuable perspective.
Nobody wakes up thinking, "I just can't wait to go buy (insert your product here)"!
No, they're going after their goal, their dream, what they want for themselves, for their family, their future.
So if they say "No" on to your offer, they're *not* saying no to you!
They're saying no to their goal, their dream, what they want for themselves, for their family, their future.
They're saying no to what they told you that they wanted when they engaged with you in the first place!
You're totally out of the frame.. it ain't about you!
Now ideally we're eliminating those false beliefs with our content prior to the sales conversation and qualifying our leads.. and there are always opportunities for us to improve..
But walking away without assuming that "it's me" is a powerful way to continue on without feeling that we failed.
