I check out a lot of ClickFunnels 2.0 funnels and funnel hubs.

One of the things I always look for has to do with the "root domain".

When we add a domain in ClickFunnels 2.0 we have to use a CNAME that points to a subdomain like "www"

But what happens when we go to the root domain?

Well that depends on what your intent is and how you set it up.

If your website is on WordPress or some other platform then you'll want to keep your root domain where it is.

But if CF2 is your funnel hub or you're using a vanity URL for a specific funnel then making both the www and "naked" domain URLs work is crucial.

We might think that everything is taken care of because when you add a domain to CF2, you're presented with this fancy UI element that performs a redirect for you.

But it can only do something if both the root domain and CNAME are pointed at CF, which isn't what the help docs say to do.

What we actually have to do is handle this in the cloud.

I use GoDaddy as my domain registrar but I like to use CloudFlare as my Name Servers because it's more powerful.

Here's how to do the "quick fix" that's just OK, and the "Real fix" that handles all cases.

In GoDaddy, go to your Domain Settings and create a Forwarding rule

This works if you type in http://yourdomain.com, but if you type https://yourdomain.com, it won't!

​You'll also lose url paths and parameters this way.

The best move is to point your Name Servers to CloudFlare and let them handle it things for you.

​They'll handle the https:// thing for you by default and you can use one of their fancy redirect rules.

This one will take anything sent to the root domain and transfer it over to www while also preserving your path and querystring!
