Our daughter has flown across the world.

Four times to Europe.
Once to Japan.
Countless flights in between.

Flying was never a thing.

Until it was.

Leading up to our trip to Vegas for FHL, the headlines were everywhere.

Crashes. Malfunctions. Emergencies.

And suddenly, the thing she had done so many times before… felt impossible.

She was terrified.

We talked. We reassured her..

Told her the stats, the logic, the reality..

But fear doesn’t listen to reason.

So when it came time to board… she had to make a choice.

Give in to the fear.

Or take a breath, step forward, and do it anyway.

She chose to fly.

White-knuckled grip on the armrest. Breath held a little too long.

But she did it.

And to me, it was the perfect illustration of faith.

Because faith isn’t the absence of fear.

It’s moving forward despite it.

It’s trusting the process when every part of you wants to control the outcome.

It’s choosing to believe that you’re held, even when logic tries to tell you otherwise.

Entrepreneurship is no different.

You will be scared.

You will see the risks.

You will want certainty before taking the leap.

But certainty never comes first.

Faith does.

And on the other side of faith?

Freedom.
