I'd bet that more than half of the people in this group have dreams of speaking on stage at FHL.

That's never been a strong pull for me.
​
​I mean sure.. I could see one day maybe, if I got really good at something I'd feel compelled to share it.
​
​But it's never been a milestone for me.
​
When I was in Boise recently with an opportunity to speak on stage with the rest of the 2CCX members in attendance, I wasn't jumping at the chance to get up there and "crush it"

Can you guess what happened?

The morning of.. I woke up a sense of dread.

Minutes before I went on stage.. I was nervous AF! 

I rewrote my talk as the first speaker was presenting​, got up there and..

Did really well!

But here's the thing...

I liked it! I'm really proud of the result!

All that talk about me "not really wanting to be on stage" was all self-protective BS!

​The whole time, my subconscious was protecting me from public failure.
​
​So the next time you say that something isn't for you.. be open to the possibility that you're not seeing the whole picture.
