It started as a challenge.

A week. No Facebook between 9 AM and 6 PM.

Not a big deal, right?

I use this platform for business, for community, for connection.

But I also use it when I feel stuck.

When I need a quick dopamine hit.

When I want to escape the hard things right in front of me.

So I took the challenge.

Blocked Facebook on my phone. On my laptop. Locked myself out completely.

And then I waited.

The first day?
I caught myself reaching for it out of habit.

I’d hit Command + T, F, A, C, E..  before my brain even registered what I was doing.

The second day?

I noticed the pull when I was about to finish something difficult.

Almost like I wanted to sabotage my own momentum.

The third day?

That's when I realized that this wasn’t just about Facebook.

It was about my relationship with distraction.

With avoiding the work.

With reaching for the easy thing instead of the thing that would actually move me forward.

By the end of the 7 days?

I had more time..
More focus..
More space in my head..

And most importantly.. more awareness.

I saw the patterns I had been running on autopilot.

I saw the ways I was letting myself get hijacked by cheap dopamine instead of real progress.

That was the real gift.

Because the moment you see it, you can change it.

So now?

I’m back. But different.

More intentional. More in control. More aware of how I engage.

Because this stuff isn’t just about productivity.

It’s about ownership of your own mind..

It's about service to clients..

It's about transforming the lives of their clients..

And if you can reclaim that?

You can reclaim everything.
