You already know this..

Somewhere in the back of your mind..
You know that showing up live is one of the most powerful ways to build trust online.

But for a lot of us it’s terrifying.

The thought of hitting that live button brings a stomach sickening frozen state and a thousand yard stare..

You've got your reasons.. I get it.

But the resistance to going live is there because some part of you thinks it has to be perfect..
Polished..
That one awkward sentence, or pause will wreck your credibility.

So you stall..
Focus on the tech..
Or the script..
Or the lighting..
Or avoid it altogether.

And your people never hear from you.
They're still stuck.

This is the thing..

If there was ever a situation where fear is a mile wide and an inch deep.. it applies to going live.

Once you get past the first one.. it literally gets easier every time.

I was talking about this with a friend the other day who's committed to go live, but hadn't yet.

Here's what I told her:

“Fun idea - Rehearse the first live by just recording a video with your phone or recording a loom, whichever camera you were gonna use..

Just record a video and do what you would do.

Then after a time or two, or three, you can actually go live.”

This is a game of reps.
Reduce the fear by making your first few reps offline.

Then when you're online, you're no longer a true beginner.

She messaged me later:
“That's actually a really good idea. I'll do that and go live after a few tries 🫣😆”

You don’t need perfection.

You just need proof that you won’t die when you hit the Live button
